A good coach to find necro replays for is Maniehl and his team Expired Meat. That said, necro can be quite tough early on and so you might struggle to win games while your playing style develops. Playing necro or undead might be "good for the soul" as learning to use zombies correctly is a good positional skill, learning about clock management is important, etc. Look for OCC division 1 in (I think) season 18 in the league list. If you decide to go dark elves then it might be worth looking up some replays from experienced players - Danton's OCC team "Apocablitz Now!" is available on BBM which you can download for free. They are very strong and you'll sometimes get wins just from not rolling 1s, even if your strategy and approach is less than optimal. If you want to be successful from the start then I think dark elves are a fine team to begin with. Also would use them in Cyanide leagues when I get started there. Note, I would be sticking with this team so give it some though for long term purposes. So, who and why? Interested to hear the thoughts of experienced coaches! Also, as they skill up it would be almost too tempting to take ClawPOMB which I want to avoid. I have a soft spot for Nurgle, but I worry how unfriendly and slow they can be for lower TV teams. What do you guys think? Feel free to suggest another if you like, but I want to avoid most Chaos teams, Zons, Dwarfs/Orcs. I was thinking to focus on one of the following: AV doesn't worry me overmuch (players do die!). I love Frenzy but like to have a decent AG or MV. Now, I have a Dwarf team for a league that is just starting and another one where I drew an Pro Elf team but I want a team I can play regularly in matchmaking to get good at (I know the basics and all) and I think I have narrowed my choices to two teams. A little background is I have only come back to BB after about a decade away when I played Dwarfs almost exclusively.
Anyway, I was looking through my record recently and saw that I played 1 game with Dark Elves for a draw and a very high (for me) rating. First of all, I want to say that I haven't got into a league on Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition but have had my head handed to me on FUMBBL a lot recently and it is starting to disappoint me a little bit!Īnyway, I have mucked around a bit with most of the races but I can't really settle on anything, I don't mind Lizardmen but for some reason they have lost their lustre recently. Having lurked around here for a while, I thought I would register and post a thread to get some thoughts.
